5.0-magnitude quake hits Kermadec Islands, New Zealand — GFZ

BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 0655 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 26.0 km, was initially determined to be at 30.65 degrees south latitude and 177.54 degrees west longitude. ■
